2024 Home Services Worker Training (Annual)

77 Ill. Adm. Code 245, The Home Health, Home Nursing, Home Services Agency Licensing Code, requires ten hours of initial training for Home Services Workers, at least five hours of which much be completed prior to first assignment and the remaining five hours completed within the first thirty days of employment; and ten hours of annual training for Home Services Workers. This set of training modules represents the annual ten hours of training:

1.       Promoting Client Dignity, Independence, Privacy, Choice and Rights

2.       Safety and Disaster Procedures

3.       Advanced Principles of Infection Control

4.       Abuse and Neglect Prevention and Reporting Procedures

5.       Responsibilities & Limitations of Home Service Workers

6.       Communication and Documentation

7.       HIPPA and Confidentiality

8.       Understanding Basic Human Needs
